Plot to Blow Up the Eiffel Tower, The - Dissertation, Honey

Souls not stirred but shaken / many lost, more achin’

A jammy, (mostly) melodic cacophony of shouts and guitars, with improv sections and smooth jazzy horns interspersed throughout. On debut Dissertation, Honey, San Diego group The Plot to Blow Up the Eiffel Tower basically showed that even though they’re supposedly a punk band, they don’t give a shit about sounding like something else entirely sometimes. Punk rock.

There aren’t any good videos of these songs on Youtube, but if you’re into the way bands like Refused switch up the punk sound, or like post-hardcore and want something new, you should be into this, they’re far from a gimmick. Check it.

Nice. I used to listen to these guys a lot back in the 2004s and 5s. Saw them once in Amsterdam. VERY inspiring musically. For Marcus is the best! Good going with the posts man, keep it up, I’m enjoying it a lot!
