Snowing - I Could Do Whatever I Wanted If I Wanted

My friends say all the best things / I hope to meet them, in the end

A couple days ago one of the premier emo groups of the last few years, Pennsylvania’s amazing Snowing, broke up. I’ve posted about them a few times over the years, and sadly it looks like this will be the last.

Here’s their first and final full-length LP, I Could Do Whatever I Wanted if I Wanted. Like all their other material, they released it for free, because that’s just the kind of band they were. But you can also purchase a copy at Square of Opposition Records for just ten dollars (and that’s for an LP!). If you’ve never listened to Snowing before now, I know they just seem like another short-lived emo band with one album now…but for those of us who’ve been following them for the past few years, they always seemed like so much more than that.

From the band themselves:

I’m going to keep this short, and hopefully fairly devoid of pompous self-importance. Snowing has come to an end at the ripe old age of 3 and a half (that’s over 90 in emo years!). Words are really escaping me right now, so I’ll just say this: We had a blast writing songs, driving across the country playing shows, imbibing copious amounts of alcohol, and earning future grey hairs by reading all about ourselves on message boards. Thanks for everything.

RIP Snowing, go embark on even more awesome projects.

The appearance of gray hair can be delayed by living a stress free live and also taking high amounts of antioxidants. :
