Cut Off Your Hands – Hollow (2011)

Cut Off Your Hands - Hollow

Blaming my life away / growling at the man for the things I’ve changed

I first found out about this band a couple years ago when I saw them opening for Viva Voce. They put on a high-energy, entertaining punk rock show, and afterward I listened to and really enjoyed their debut album You and I. With their sophomore release Hollow, they pay more tribute to the post-punk gods that inspire them, and develop their own maturing sound. They’re not so bouncy and aggressive as they were before, but that’s not to say they’ve calmed down. They’ve still got that sneer of youth that made me like them in the first place. This is the kind of album I’m all about during this time of year, too.

  1. You Should Do Better
  2. Nausea
  3. By Your Side
  4. Hollowed Out
  5. Oh Hell
  6. All it Takes
  7. Fooling No One
  8. Down & Out
  9. Buried

Try It
